The Housing Development Corporation has invited interested parties to express their interest in investing in 10 plots selected to create a Media Park in Hulhumalé. The plots will create a cluster of media related investments in the following areas:

1. Printers, Publishers and Printing Plants

2. Graphic Design, Multimedia and Layout Studios

3. Film Companies, Sound Studios, Broadcasting Companies

4. Advertising and Billboard Manufacturers and Production Workshops

5. Newspaper Offices and Print Floors

Investment opportunities are open for both established and new media firms. HDC hopes to foster an environment that is attractive to creative individuals and allow them to maximize the benefits from synergistic effects.

With its already well developed infrastructure, and planned island wide fibre optic backbone, Hulhumalé presents an attractive alternative to the crowded spaces in Malé with its inflated rental market.
