On 12th May 2013, the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) signed the contract with Heavy Force Private Limited, a company based in Male’, to develop the coastal area through Sheet Piling and building a Quay wall. Mr. Suhail Ahmed, signed the contract on behalf of HDC, and Mr. Ibrahim Zameer, Managing Director, signed on behalf of Heavy Force Private Limited.
The project consists of development of the coastal protection structure by sheet piling and quay wall of an area of approximately 225.7 meters on the West side of Hulhumalé. The total value of the contract is approximately MRF 30 million, while the project is estimated to be completed within 9 months.
The ceremony for the contract signing was held at HDC Building, Hulhumale’ and was attended by Heads of Departments of HDC and senior staffs. Additionally, officials from Heavy Force attended the ceremony.
